Welcome!

healthy foodie baby_about

What is the blog about?
I started this blog when I was first introducing food to my baby daughter.I found that baby brain & lack of sleep made it hard to think about what to cook every day so I decided to keep a record of recipes that I liked and worked well for our new little family. The idea was to create healthy & tasty recipes that could be adapted to cook for babies and toddlers as well. Which meant only cooking once!
As a new mum I realised how little time I had to cook or even just to think about what to have for dinner that evening.
With my baby daughter discovering solid food I wanted to get her little taste buds going with healthy home cooked food. Little did I realise preparing purées is time consuming!
Having the tiniest kitchen, no microwave or dishwasher I didn’t want to cook meals twice. I wanted to create family meals that could be tweaked to create baby food as well. As my kids are a little older now (2&4) it has evolved to creating healthy family meals that work for all.

Healthy – I believe food is amongst the most important influences on our health. Luckily it’s the kind of food that I like and crave. I think this is due to the fact that I was brought up on brown rice and veg. I think feeding healthy food to your kids should encourage them to go for that type of food as adults

Foodie – I’m enthusiastic about food and always keen to try new tastes and flavours. I was brought up in the south of France and love Mediterranean food. I also love exploring food from different cultures.

Baby – I’ll be creating meals with baby & kids in mind. Getting inspiration from children’s nutritional needs to create yummy meals for the whole family.
When trying my recipes please make sure your baby has tried the ingredients individually before hand.

Bon appetit!
