2nd Birthday party food

Last month was my daughter 2nd Birthday. After the popularity of my first birthday food post I thought I would share what we did for her 2nd Birthday.

I have to say I think planning a second birthday takes a little more time and consideration than the first. The kids need a little more entertaining so I did plan a few games and activities. We did pass the parcel and made some giant bubbles (recipe here) which was a great a success. I also had a dressing up box and made these cute little party crowns for the children.

With regards to the food, I mainly wanted to make things I knew my daughter, Mélie, would love as well as pleasing the other kids and parents of course. We made homemade pizzas which went down a treat as well as offering the usual fairly healthy snacks and lots of fruit. I also made some Frozen banana, peanut butter & chocolate bites (recipe here).

However, the birthday cake was far from healthy, it was a super rich chocolate cake decorated as a cat but I knew my little girl would love it!
